Toasted Pumpkin Seeds

Who doesn't have cravings? I know I do, so here's a five ingredient fall snack from this wonderful source..


- 2 tablespoons of water

- 1/4 teaspoon of salt

- 1 teaspoon onion powder

- 1/4 or 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder

- 4 cups raw pumpkin seeds

  1. Mix water and seasoning together. It dissolves better if the water is hot.

  2. Pour mixture over raw pumpkin seeds and stir until they are coated.

  3. Place in a microwave safe container with lid and microwave for 4 minutes on high. Stir and return for 2 minutes. Stir. Return to the microwave and repeat 2 minutes. Cook until they reach desired state. Remove and put on a tray or plate to cool.

Hint: The pumpkin seeds puff up and turn brown.

Voila! A healthy snack without tons of preservatives or sneaky sugar additions.

A few words of advice...

Beware of snacking in the evening that can start a late night snacking binge. Try water instead.

Be cautious of over compensating with other ingredients as a sugar replacement. Sometimes diabetics may increase salt in place of sugar. This can lead to high blood pressure. heart attack, etc... Moderation is the key along with motion. So take this 1 Simple Step and make this snack today.
